To accelerate the application of new retail technology, cultivate the new retail industry, promote the upgrading of traditional business services, and help offline retail stores to resume sales, the Zhongguancun Administrative Committee issued the "Notice on collecting application cases on new technologies and new products in the field of new retail" on May 19.

According to the notice, from now until May 31, through Zhongguancun's new technology, new product and new services online docking platform, the Zhongguancun Administrative Committee will collect a number of applications using new technologies such as big data, artificial intelligence, block chain, and the Internet of Things in the following areas.

First, new retail supply chain management, i.e. improving inventory and logistics efficiency using artificial intelligence and other new technologies.

Second, precision marketing, i.e. targeting markets through search engines, social media, shopping guide websites, targeted advertising, and similar methods.

Third, immersive sales experience, i.e. achieving new sales and consumer experiences through such methods as unmanned supermarkets, live broadcasts, sales through short videos, AR makeup tests, virtual dressing mirrors, and VR interaction.

Fourth, distribution, i.e. using intelligent networks, driverless vehicles and similar technologies to deliver goods to end-users.

Excellent cases will be recommended to Beijing's traditional business service companies.

In recent years, new retail technology has brought about changes in business models, and promoted the overall upgrading of the real economy and the formation of new consumption forms. Under these circumstances, a number of leading new retail companies and unicorns such as JD, Meituan, Megvii, Mininglamp and Bianlifeng emerged in the Zhongguancun National Demonstration Zone.

Facing the epidemic, these companies issued live broadcasts, contactless delivery, online ordering, offline pickup, and online store services, which greatly facilitated residents' life and contributed to epidemic prevention and control.

It has been learned that the collected cases should meet three requirements: First, they must be highly innovative and feature leading new technologies, new products and new applications in the field of new retail that have independent intellectual property rights.

Second, they must be highly applicable to business realities, with good practicability, clear application scenarios, and good prospects; they should also be highly demonstrative.

Third, they must offer diversified forms. The collected cases should be based on data displayable through text, pictures, videos and PPT.
