The Guiyang bureau of ecology and environment in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, recently started the 3D modeling pilot project of key pollutant discharging plants.

The project was first started in Xiaohe sewage treatment plant, Guiyang's first municipal sewage treatment plant, where technicians will use photos and videos of the plant to make a 3D digital model.

The model can simulate the plant on computer and provide various data. With the support of 5G networks, long-distance real time communication and scheduling can be realized between the plants and supervision center.

When the modeling is finished by the end of April, dynamic data access will be started. The project will be promoted among Guiyang's hundreds of key pollutant discharging plants when implemented successfully.

Guiyang is actively using the data of the second national pollution source census and big data technology to build a modern ecological environment management system, as well as to provide technological support for future ecological environment supervision and emergency handling.
