Last novel coronavirus patient leaves hospital in Yantai

The last patient infected with the novel coronavirus pneumonia in Yantai, eastern China's Shandong province was declared cured and discharged from Yantai City Hospital of Infectious Disease on March 11.

This has brought the total confirmed case in the city to zero.

Since the outbreak, a total of 47 confirmed cases were reported. There were no deaths and no medical personnel were infected in Yantai.

The city’s epidemic prevention and control work has made important progress. Since Feb 17, no new confirmed cases have been reported in Yantai for 24 consecutive days.

With the treatment of local medical workers, all the cases improved with the nucleic acid test for the coronavirus twice negative, and cured.
