A multilevel cold chain verification center belonging to Ballon International Group was unveiled at the Qingdao Qianwan Free Trade Port Zone on April 29. It is the first of its kind to be developed by a local enterprise and customs department in North China.

The center is expected to reduce the time needed for imported food to pass through customs by offering one-stop clearance services. Huangdao Customs has dispatched several officials to the verification center to help with clearance procedures.

The center, equipped with the world's most advanced container push-pullers, has shortened clearance time from 2 hours to just 30 minutes and increased Qingdao's meat imports in the first quarter of 2020 by a factor of 1.64 year on year.

The center also includes a 30,000-square-meter international food exhibition and trade center – the largest of its kind in China – that showcases over 10,000 types of high-quality and ecofriendly products from around the world, including aquatic products, meats, vegetables, fruits, wines, cosmetics, and drugs.
