China stresses market order and quality standard

State Councilor Wang Yong urged stricter supervision and severe punishment on IPR infringements and counterfeiting to maintain market order and guarantee quality standard in a teleconference address on May 9.

Wang, also the chief of the leading group of the national campaign against IPR infringements and counterfeits, called for strict examination on production circulation and export quality control, which helps to create a good market environment for coordinated promotion of epidemic containment and economic and social development.

All regions and related departments should strengthen organization and leadership to fulfill responsibilities at every level, said Wang. The coordinated working mechanism should be further improved; special campaigns with focus on key areas such as epidemic prevention materials should be carried out; and market management on the internet, rural and suburban areas should be deepened.

Wang also urged strengthening supervision evaluation, improving long-term mechanism, and playing the role of social supervision.
