Winter Olympics projects reform to continue in Hebei

The Hebei provincial government will be allowed to continue the pilot reform of reviewing and approving investments for construction projects in the Zhangjiakou competition zone for the 2022 Winter Olympic Games, according to a circular issued by the State Council on May 6.

With a two-year extension, the pilot reform serves the construction of Olympic projects in the co-host city by advancing efforts to streamline administration, delegate power, improve regulations and upgrade services, and pushing the local government to transform functions.

Concerned departments of the State Council should further coordinate and supervise the reform to ensure required measures are implemented. Also, useful experiences are encouraged to be shared in a timely manner.
