Charter train takes medics to Shaanxi for recuperation

The G4857 high-speed train arrived in Xi'an, capital of Northwest Shaanxi province on April 7, carrying 688 medics sent to assist Wuhan Tangkang Tongji Hospital in the fight against the novel coronavirus pneumonia, according to local officials.

They said this is the first batch of non-Shaanxi medical team to the province for recuperation.

After receiving the order to transport the medical team to Shaanxi, China Railway Xi'an Group Co put together a detailed transportation plan and opened up a dedicated channel to provide medics and supplies with fast and safe transfer services.

To date, China Railway Xi'an Group Co has transported 1,002 anti-epidemic medics and more than 6,500 metric tons of medical supplies.
