Chongwen Tower in Xi'an reopens to visitors

Chongwen Tower scenic area in Xixian New Area, in Xi'an, capital city of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, reopened to the public on March 28, with strict implementation of novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic prevention and control measures in place.

All visitors are required to enter the scenic area from the north gate and undergo temperature measurement and register.

Visitors should wear face masks during the tour and keep a distance of more than 1.5 meters, to avoid gatherings when queuing and viewing.

Visitors can make online reservations through the WeChat public account of Chongwen Tower scenic area one week in advance. The daily number of visitors is limited to 1,000.

From March 28 to June 28, 2020, tourists can make free visits through online reservations; from March 28 to Dec 31, medical workers from across the country with valid certificates can enjoy free access to the scenic spot.

Opening hours: 9 am-5 pm, closed every Monday (except national holidays).

Features opening: Chongwen Tower, Shaanxi Merchants Culture Expo Hall, Guoyi Qinqiang Hall, Sanqin culture heritage Expo Hall, Chongwen Guoxue Hall.
