Medical experts in Xi'an High-Tech Industries Development Zone in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, shared their invaluable experience with Romanian doctors on the novel coronavirus, through a live video link on March 23, at the 5G remote conference room of Xi'an International Medical Center Hospital.

Romania has recently launched a state of emergency and has adopted a series of strict measures to prevent and control the epidemic. All hospitals are under pressure to treat infected patients.

During the two-and-a-half hour exchange, Romanian doctors gave a brief introduction to the current epidemic situation in their country and asked some questions about medic safety protection, hospital isolation control, virus screening, the use of antiviral drugs and diagnosis and treatment of critically ill patients.

In response to the questions, the Xi’an experts gave all the information they could on diagnosis and treatment methods, preventive measures, reference parameters, image research and judgments, precautions and the integration of Chinese and western medicine treatments.

"We are willing to share our vast experience of prevention, control, diagnosis and treatment accumulated in the past two months to our overseas colleagues, to help more patients,” said He Xijing, president of the Xi’an International Rehabilitation Medical Center Hospital.
