Major Q1 projects in Hechi start construction

A ceremony marking the start of construction work of major projects of the first quarter of 2020 in Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region was held in Lianlian village, Bama town, Bama Yao autonomous county on March 31, including 53 projects with a total investment of 5.59 billion yuan ($788.16 million), of which 16 were projects in Bama with an investment of 2.32 billion yuan.

The first phase of the China-ASEAN (Bama) Big Data and Cloud Computing Base officially launched on the same day. The cloud computing base is a project that was signed between Bama Yao autonomous county and Beijing Daily Tech Co during the 16th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO), which was held in Nanning, capital of Guangxi, from Sept 21 to 24, 2019.

Focusing on big data cloud storage, disaster recovery centers, and cloud security infrastructure service facilities, the base will be built into a new hub for data services for ASEAN. After completion, it will be able to support the demands for big data innovation applications of government affairs, business, as well as key industries of Guangxi, Shenzhen, and ASEAN countries.
