Grassland photographic works shine in Hohhot

An exhibition featuring photos taken by photographer Hasbagena Borjigin kicked off in Inner Mongolia Art Gallery in Hohhot, capital of Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Jan 19, according to the organizers.

A total of 128 photos are on display that depict the beauty of the natural landscape and human life along the Grassland Silk Road in China, Russia and Mongolia.

In addition to admiring the pictures, visitors can also scan a QR code beside the photographs to listen to music that highlights ethnic grassland customs.

The exhibition is being sponsored by the Federation of Literary and Art Circles of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and the government of Xincheng district to promote cultural exchanges and boost understanding among countries and regions.

The exhibition runs from Jan 19 to Feb 18.

Hasbagena Borjigin is a famous photographer born in the Ar Horqin Banner of Chifeng in Inner Mongolia.

He has taken a large number of photos reflecting the natural scenery, human history and other subjects related to Mongolian ethnic groups.

He has also established a grassland photography website, serving as a platform for more than 5,000 photographers to release their 100,000 works.

The website has been designated as the official website of the Inner Mongolia Photographers Association due to its significance to the protection and promotion of photographic cultural resources in Inner Mongolia.

Hasbagena has also held photography exhibitions in France and Russia, making great contributions to foreign cultural exchanges and communications.

In 2016, he published the album Paradise Grassland in the Mongolian, Chinese and English languages.
