Since the novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak, the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University has sent four medical teams to Wuhan, the city hardest hit by the epidemic, with a total of 153 medics going, including 63 Party members.

Ye Qing, a staff member of the president's office at the hospital became a member of the second medical team from Shaanxi province to help Wuhan.

As an activist of Party application, he submitted a letter of intent to join the Party to show his attitude. He said that during this special time, he wants to devote himself to the fight against the epidemic.

Ye said he is mainly responsible for publicity reports, vehicle arrangements, supplies and comprehensive coordination.

For convenience, the medical team borrowed a car locally. One of his daily tasks is to drive overtime medical staff who did not catch the commuter car. As part of a team, Ye took out his own masks, hoods, rubber gloves, alcohol and other materials to support other team members.

He also carefully records the work of medics, from departure, arrivals, oaths of assembly, training, to all preparations before taking over the ward, as well as team members' birthday celebrations and Lantern Festival blessings.

He recorded the moments of the medical team with mobile phone videos and photos, spreading touching stories through text and voice.
