A software project was signed at a video conference between Wang Qingxian, secretary of the Qingdao municipal Party committee, and Xue Xiangdong, chairman of Donghua Software Co, on Feb 7.

The project is expected to be operated in Qingdao, East China's Shandong province, based on the company's cooperation with Huawei Technologies, as well as 3 billion yuan ($429.55 million) it has invested.

Qingdao was officially recognized as a characteristic city of software in China in December 2019, and this is the first major project in the city, in terms of software information technology services, after it received the honor.

To ensure synchronization in the contract text, an innovative system was quickly developed within 48 hours. The system helps guarantee the authenticity and legal validity during the online signing.

"I'm impressed by this special signing ceremony, as it showcases the city's efforts to promote industrial development," Xue said.

While fighting against the novel coronavirus, Qingdao has been paying close attention to local enterprises and has taken several measures to support their development during this period.
