During the fight against the novel coronavirus, workers in Shinan district, Qingdao, Shandong province have dedicated themselves to epidemic prevention and control. A series of comics have been created by one local worker to celebrate people's efforts to fight the virus.

Li Xin, a worker in the management division of Huiquan Square in Shinan district, said he was inspired when he saw his colleagues contributing to the fight against the virus and putting their own lives at risk.

He decided to create some comics revolving around efforts to control the epidemic, such as cleaning the ground and spraying disinfectant. One of the comics showcases workers feeding seagulls since few local residents and tourists were doing so after the outbreak of novel coronavirus.

Li said that the comics are meant to highlight heartwarming moments and inspire locals in the fight against the novel coronavirus pneumonia.

A wash painting themed around the Huoshenshan and Leishenshan hospitals in Hubei province was also created. It integrates both finger painting and Chinese landscape painting styles. Its red color represents confidence and the towering mountains represent the strong will of the people on the frontlines.
