Baotou Public Resources Trading Center was recently selected as one of 101 national standardization pilot projects recently, according to a list released by the Standardization Administration.

Local officials said it was the only pilot project approved in the autonomous region's public resource trading system.

According to officials, it is imperative to achieve standardization of public resource transactions.

They added that through clear standards -- such as conditions, processes, services, and quality -- not only can the goals, processes and results of transactions be clearer, but also work responsibilities can be tracked, which is conducive to promotions.

The aim is for work levels and the center's service quality to be continuously improved. The goal is for a standardized operating mechanism to be established to act according to standards, execute according to discipline and manage people according to the system, to realize the optimal trading of public resources.

Officials said that over the past few years, the Baotou Public Resources Trading Center has gone from strength to strength. They said it had optimized its operating mechanism, strengthened transactions management, improved service efficiency and levels and reduced institutional transaction costs.

They added that the credibility and influence of the platform continued to grow.

Local officials said it has promoted the establishment of a joint conference system for the management of public resource transactions in the city.

This has provided an institutional basis for ensuring the healthy development of public resource transactions, creating a better business environment.

In addition, the center has launched an app to implement functions such as bidding and information inquiries during the tendering process.

Officials said the center has optimized the business procedures of companies and many services can now be accessed online.

There are currently 3,479 business transaction entities in the center’s library.
