Wuxi's Sunan Shuofang International Airport, which open in 2004, can handle 12 million passengers and 300,000 tons of goods a year.

The airport has introduced 27 airlines flying to 61 cities all over the world. Its freight routes go to places such as Beijing, Quanzhou, Shenzhen, Zhengzhou, Hahn in Germany, and Chicago.
