Zhejiang: A letter to foreign-invested companies

Dear foreign-invested companies,

Throughout the Chinese Spring Festival holiday, many regions in China, especially Hubei province, have suffered from an outbreak of pneumonia caused by the novel coronavirus. In response to this epidemic, Zhejiang has earnestly implemented the important instructions of President Xi Jinping and resolutely carried out the decisions and arrangements of the central government on epidemic prevention and control. We highly appreciate the fact that many foreign-invested companies in Zhejiang have taken measures to fight against the epidemic, resumed operations in an orderly manner, and guaranteed the supply of various goods. We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude.

The warmth of humanity can stand against a ruthless virus. While we do our  best to fight the epidemic, you have offered a great deal of assistance  to our community by working overtime to produce various supplies and by making donations. Due to your acts of kindness, we have received a total of 496 million yuan in money and goods from 228 companies so far. Thank you for the integrity, kindness, and responsibility you have demonstrated.

Strivers require praise, while devotees require salutes. Based on the principles of integrity, practicability, development, innovation, and quality, your businesses in Zhejiang have contributed significantly to our economic development. You have become a strong driving force behind Zhejiang's economic development and social progress.

Fortune favors the diligent, and the times are changing quickly. This year is a decisive year in the realization of the 13th Five-Year Plan, the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects, and in carrying out the Foreign Investment Law.
