Hechi sees 44.93m domestic tourists in 2019

About 44.93 million domestic tourists visited Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, in 2019, an increase of 31.74 percent year on year, according to a recent announcement of the city's bureau of culture, radio, television, sports and culture.

Domestic tourism consumption in 2019 in the city also saw a yearly increase of 34.68 percent to 54.82 billion yuan ($7.86 billion).

According to the bureau, 123,052 inbound travelers visited Hechi from January to November 2019, a year-on-year growth of 6.85 percent and spent about $63.11 million, 11.1 percent more than the previous year.

To date, there are 20 national 4A-level scenic areas in Hechi, as well as 228 star-rated rural tourist areas, including four five-star ones.
