Exhibition economy

As a famous exhibition city, Chengdu is ranked first in the Midwest and among the forefront of the country. Rated as one of "China's Top 10 Exhibition Cities" and "Excellent Exhibition City", Chengdu has become the first-choice city for major domestic and international conventions and exhibitions in the central and western China.

In 2018, Chengdu attracted many internationally renowned exhibition groups, such as Jaarbeurs, VNU Exhibitions, Italian Exhibition Group and Messe Muenchen.

Chengdu is vigorously developing its exhibition economy, improving its level of professionalism, internationalism, and branding, and accelerating the construction of an international exhibition city to be the "capital of exhibition". By 2022, Chengdu plans to achieve a total industry income of more than 120 billion yuan ($17.21 billion), forming a hundred-billion industry.
