ACCRA -- A total of 828 Ghanaians from all walks of life have benefited from training programs sponsored by China in 2019, a press release from the Chinese embassy on Dec. 25 in Ghana has said.
The 185 training programs, ranging from poverty reduction to health care, have played a key part in human resource development cooperation between China and Ghana, the release said.
George Kwabena, one of the Ghanaian beneficiaries, said the training in China enables them to learn from China's development experiences, which could also be put into effective use in Ghana.
"We also gained more insight into China's cultural and public sector values, which is quite an eye-opening experience," said George, who is also a liaison officer of Ghana's Development Authority.
According to the release, more than 7,100 Ghanaians have been invited to attend training programs and seminars in China since 2008.
Chai Zhijing, commercial counselor of the Chinese embassy in Ghana, said China is ready to work together with Ghana to further expand human resource development cooperation next year.
