Hohhot launches first NEV charging station

The new Horqin Public Charging Station was completed and began trial operations on Nov 11 -- marking the first new energy vehicle integrated multiplex charging station installed in Hohhot, in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, according to the Inner Mongolia Daily.

The charging station has a total of 66 parking spaces and 66 charging terminals, including 32 logistics car charging spaces, 28 passenger car charging spaces and six bus charging stations.

The public charging station has installed vehicle barrier gates, officials said. Only new energy vehicles can enter the charging station by scanning code, they added.

The parking fee for the first two hours can be waived for those using the charging service.

A parking fee of 2 yuan an hour will be charged if the vehicle is parked for more than two hours.
