A meeting on the development of the zone’s new materials industry was held at Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, on Dec 14.
More than 50 experts and representatives from 24 new materials companies attended the meeting, exchanging views on advanced technologies, current development and future trends in the sector.
The meeting was organized by the zone's professional introduction bureau, united front work department, and bureau of economy and information technology, with the aim of promoting the growth of the new materials sector.
During the meeting, Li Xin from Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences introduced the latest material genetic engineering project; Yan Feng from Hubei Dinglong Holdings introduced R&D and application of key materials in display technology.
Other attendees from Jianghan University, Wuhan Research Institute of New-energy Automotive Technologies, and the R&D center of Dongfeng Motor Corporation also shared their views at the meeting.
The Cross-Cultural Startups Ecospace in WHDZ was designated as an innovation base at the meeting, to help with the incubation of companies in the zone.
WHDZ is currently developing its new materials sector, attracting a large number of professionals to the field. The zone will continue to support the development of the industry with a focus on innovation and the introduction of professional workers.
