Hubei Provincial Museum is near the East Lake with 200,000 pieces of collections. Among all the exhibits, there are copious rare and prominent antiques, especially chain bells of Marquis Yi of the Zeng State, the bronze sword of Goujian (the king of the Yue State) and the spear of Fuchai (the king of the Wu Kingdom). The whole set of Zenghouyi Chain Bells has a history of more than 2,400 years and still preserves a pure sound.
The museum lies in the shelter of trees and consists of halls for comprehensive exhibition, culture of Chu, chime bells and others. Antique buildings with thick stylobate, wide eaves and high-pitched roof stand like three legs of a tripod, forming a Chinese character "Pin".
