National Independent Innovative Demonstration Zones

The Lanzhou and Baiyin hi-tech zones in Northwest China's Gansu province have established national independent innovation demonstration zones in 2018.

Approved by the State Council in February 2018, the zones have achieved 41.8 billion yuan of GDP and 13.62 percent of growth in investments of fixed assets in that year.

The national independent innovation demonstration zones have exerted their geographical advantages and wielded their strengths in various industries to foster a favorable environment for innovation and entrepreneurship.

Entitled to the supportive policies, the demonstration zones have tapped into the potential of less-developed regions through the application of technology and innovation.

Gansu's provincial government has forged ahead in the construction progress of the two demonstration zones with an efficient action plan.
