University teachers and students visit SDIC power plant circular economy project in Tianjin

More than 40 teachers and students from the Central University of Finance and Economics visited the SDIC Beijiang Power Plant, a model power plant of the circular economy, in Tianjin on SDIC Open Day, Nov 6.
The SDIC open day gave the teachers and students opportunities to have a close look at the corporations invested in by SDIC through visit, speeches, and forum exchanges.

The university teachers and students visited the power plant’s circular economy exhibition hall, and gained a deep understanding of the modern smart power plant at the power generation and sea water desalination production site. They were also amazed by the smart greenhouse in the plant, where fruits and vegetables create a green vitality.
"I experienced the charm of the green circular economy here, and it is amazing," said a visitor who was particularly interested in SDIC.

Zhu Fengmin, secretary of the Party Committee and general manager of the SDIC Beijiang Power Plant, gave a speech during the event, saying that he hopes the activity will enable the public and especially young people to know more about the company and green and low carbon technology and explore the new model of circular economic development.
As an off-campus counselor of the Central University of Finance and Economics, Jiang Hua, deputy secretary and general manager of the SDIC Beijiang Power Plant, gave a keynote speech on SDIC and electricity. He introduced the development of the SDIC power sector, the status quo of the power industry in China, and future development trends in the power industry.
At the “Youth Talk” session, three staff from the company and three student representatives exchanged views on such topics as research and development of desalination technology, strategic layout of SDIC, social responsibility, corporate culture, and career development for college students.
Wang Jialei, deputy director of the Party group work department of SDIC, said in her concluding speech that SDIC and the Central University of Finance and Economics have strengthened cooperation and exchanges through a series of activities this year.
Representatives from the Party Group Work Department of SDIC, SDIC Power, the SDIC Beijiang Power Plant, and the student office and graduate department of the Central University of Finance and Economics participated in the visit.
