Nanyang eulogizes the hard work of sanitation workers on the 24th sanitation workers' day in Nanyang city on October 26.
Sanitation workers have made great contributions to the good environment of the city. They complete 20.47 million square meters of road cleaning every day in the central urban area, collect and treat over 1,400 tons of household waste and more than 200 tons of feces, clean and maintain 64 waste transfer stations, 647 public toilets, and more than 8,000 dustbins.
The sanitation workers also collect garbage at stores and shops door to door along the 67 main and secondary roads in the urban area.
Getting up at three o’clock in the morning and eating a couple of steamed buns with pickles for breakfast, many sanitation workers begin a day’s work of collecting recyclable trash and cleaning the streets.
Thanks to their hard work on a daily basis, the city has clean roads and beautiful environment.
