Wuxi airport launches new flight to Japan

The Wuxi Sunan Shuofang International Airport's first direct flight to Nagoya, Japan left at 10:05 on Oct 27.

The flight was launched as part of a new winter-spring timetable, with flights to Zhangjiajie, Hunan province and Sapporo, Japan being introduced as well.

The airport will offer flights to 41 destinations during this period, of which 29 will be domestic. An average of 170 flights are expected to be offered every day.

The new timetable features increased flights to Beijing, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Zhuhai, Vietnam's Nha Trang and Japan's Osaka. The number of daily flights to Beijing and Shenzhen will now total four and 12, respectively. Seven daily flights will be offered to Chengdu, six to Nha Trang, and three to Osaka.

In addition, the Wuxi airport will reintroduce seven flights per week to Bangkok, Thailand. People will also be able to fly from Wuxi to Seoul, South Korea starting this December.

Passengers leaving the Chinese mainland are advised to check-in at least 100 minutes before their flight is due to depart, with check-in counters closing 40 minutes prior to departure.
