According to data from Zhanjiang Customs, the total import and export value of Zhanjiang in the first three quarters of this year was 29.13 billion yuan ($4.15 billion), a year-on-year increase of 7.7 percent. Among them, exports were 15.16 billion yuan, up 6.5 percent year-on-year, and imports were 13.97 billion yuan, up 9.1 percent year-on-year.

In September, the total foreign trade value of the city was 4.09 billion yuan, which was the highest monthly import and export value this year, an increase of 24.8 percent. Among them, exports were 2.39 billion yuan, up 46.8 percent year-on-year, and imports were 1.7 billion yuan, up 3.1 percent year-on-year.

Since the beginning of this year, Zhanjiang Customs has taken many measures to support the development of Zhanjiang's export-oriented economy. A memorandum of cooperation was signed by 14 customs agencies, including Zhanjiang, Chongqing, Nanning, Guiyang, and Haikou, to promote the construction of the western Land-Sea Trade Corridor, deepen cooperation among cross-border areas, and support the construction of regional logistics systems.

In addition, Zhanjiang Customs also held corporate presentations for specific interpretations and guidance of the regulations to help develop the city's foreign trade.
