Nanyang primary students have safe electricity use class

Staff from the Xinye county power supply company of the State Grid in Nanyang gave a safe electricity use class at a primary school in Xinye county of Nanyang city, telling children the self-protection and first-aid knowledge in electricity use.

To help students better understand the knowledge, the staff created a mnemonic rhyme for each hazard. They also encouraged students to perform in front of the class to simulate an emergency situation.

The students learned how to cope with different threats including burns, bleeding, elevator malfunctions and stampedes.

The safe electricity use lecture allows children to deal with emergencies calmly and appropriately which will greatly reduce harm to children at home and in school.

The power supply company of the State Grid also initiated a subsidization program.

The primary school received grants from the company and students received books, pencils and other stationery.

In addition, the power company brought rice, flour, oil and other daily necessities to poor households in Chengying village, Xindianpu town of Xinye county.
