Zhanjiang serves public through smart service platform

The Zhanjiang e-police system, an online public service platform built by the Zhanjiang public security bureau, has been a big hit since it was put into operation on Sept 9, 2018.

The platform has launched 139 public security administrative licenses and public service businesses, introduced 156 service measures, as well as accepted 24,784 online business applications. It performs duties like online pre-audits of businesses, acceptance of complaints submissions, business distribution orders, data statistics analysis, system operation monitoring, business information releases, as well as scheduling of consultations and return visits. It has greatly saved police resources and effectively reduced the burden of police officers.

The platform not only integrates functions like online business processing, online police consultation, and police information releases, but also is updated regularly to introduce convenient new functions to further facilitate additional usage. For example, the voice navigation function was launched for people that require direct transfers to the relevant business processing page, which recognizes Mandarin or Cantonese speech.

In addition, the platform also updates the latest business service guide of the public security bureau, as well as materials for the latest public policies involving vehicle management, public security, science and technology, as well as network police.

The platform has been interconnected with the Guangdong provincial government service network system, adding smart statistical functions like automatic statistical analysis of data, release of business overdue warnings, as well as business SMS reminders and notifications.

In the future, the Zhanjiang public security bureau will enrich the system's services and optimize the functions of the platform, as well as strengthen its connection with provincial smart service platforms to realize the sharing and integration of data resources.
