Guangzhou conference to focus on AI development

The 2019 Canton Tower Science and Technology Conference will open in Guangzhou on Oct 10, focusing on artificial intelligence (AI), information technology, and mobile internet platforms.

The conference, co-organized by International Data Group (IDG) Asia and the Guangzhou municipal science and technology bureau, was upgraded from the AndroidWorld Global Developers Conference and has been previously held seven times.

The conference is expected to promote the application of mobile applications and smart hardware in various fields within the context of world trends and the national economy.

This year's event will include the main forum, 13 parallel forums, and closed-door think tanks meetings, as well as an awards dinner and exhibitions, gathering industrial giants and pioneers from home and abroad including Xu Xiaonian, emeritus professor at China Europe International Business School, and He Zhiqiang, senior vice president of Lenovo Group.

Hot topics such as 5G, social e-commerce, the commercial space industry, and the growth of short video platforms will also be discussed during the parallel forums.

In addition, exhibition areas will be set up during the events, allowing visitors to get a close look at cutting-edge technologies such as robots, unmanned aerial vehicles, CGI special effects, and VR/AR entertainment facilities.
