The five-country Boxing Championship in Nanyang Station is to be held in October.
Elite boxing fighters from China, the United States, Russia, France and Thailand will gather in Nanyang to fight and wow the audience with their excellent performance.
Xiao Dongze, a 17-year-old Nanyang native, is the youngest fighter in the game.
Xiao Dongze, always with a smile on his face, is no different from other 17-year-old high school students. It's hard to imagine that he has become a boxing fighter.
Xiao's father sent him to Taekwondo class when he was young, hoping to build his body and enrich his activities after school.
From 2010 to 2014, Xiao won four championships and one runner-up in the Henan provincial-level Taekwondo Championships. Later on, Xiao changed to practice freestyle grappling and achieved excellent results, winning the third place in the Henan freestyle grappling championship.
In 2017, Xiao made another choice to practice kickboxing. As a newcomer, he won many honors in succession and emerged as a new star in the fighting circle.
Xiao has won 20 out of 21 combats and has KO’d the opponents seven times.
Last year, in the 65-kilogram weight contest of the Foshan Boxing King competition between China and Thailand, Xiao gave full play to his technical advantage in the fight and KO’d opponent in only 38 seconds in the first round.
"This game made me confident. I can do better," said Xiao.
Talking about the coming competition in Nanyang, his hometown, Xiao said he wishes to display his technical characteristics and dedicate fully to a wonderful game.
"Come to Nanyang Sports Center on October 11 and cheer for me," said Xiao with a smile.
