Shenyang stages opera shows

An opera event began on Sept 3 in Shenyang, capital of Northeast China’s Liaoning province.

The event consists of local operas from Liaoning province, Jilin province, Heilongjiang province, and Inner Mongolia autonomous region. It will run until Sept 12.

The event will focus on the unique operas of the four provinces and serve as a cultural exchange platform for performers and audiences.

Shows are being held at Shenyang theaters, Shenyang Normal University, Shenyang Agricultural University, and Shenyang Jianzhu University. Preferential ticket prices vary from 20 yuan ($2.81) to 50 yuan.
