World Congress of Robotics held in Shenyang

The 4th China (Shenyang) World Congress of Robotics was held at the Shenyang New World Expo in Shenyang, capital of Northeast China’s Liaoning province, on Aug 31 and Sept 1.

It was hosted by the Shenyang municipal people’s government and organized by the Shenyang trade promotion department, the Shenyang Institute of Automation at the Chinese Academy of Sciences and others.

More than 600 guests -- including academics and experts in robotics sector, company representatives and media workers from 30 countries and regions -- participated in the event.

The event had as its theme “AI and robotics” and it featured forums, exhibitions, seminars and robotics competitions.

The newest products and technologies in the robotic sector were showcased, including drones, intelligent robots and applications in smart transportation, smart healthcare and in the smart home.

At a promotional conference company representatives from Italy, Russia and South Korea promoted their projects, seeking investment and business.

Initiated in 2015, the Shenyang World Congress of Robotics has developed into one of the most influential robotics expos in Northeast China, officials said and it is attracting increasing attention from global research institutes, universities and companies.
