Promote regional collaborative innovation

According to the Beibu Gulf Urban Agglomeration Development Plan (2017-20), the city cluster will work on technology breakthroughs in key fields including marine, green and clean production and bioindustries, and promote construction of key projects such as the Zhanjiang South Sea Valley.

The region will also optimize the configuration of innovative resources, conduct joint construction of innovative platforms for key technologies, and explore mechanisms for sharing technological infrastructure, major research equipment and patent information. At the same time, it will deepen innovation in regional research and development (R&D), integrating application and cooperation in the transformation of scientific research achievements.

The region is aiming to vigorously accelerate mass entrepreneurship and innovation, promote collaborative innovation in industrial chains, and encourage large and medium-sized enterprises to drive the development of small and micro enterprises by means of cooperation in production, sharing resources, and building open platforms and standards.
