As a key region along the Yangtze River Economic Belt, Southwest China's Guizhou province recently drafted the guidelines for the negative list of the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt. It is also currently soliciting opinions from the public.
Any units or individuals who have opinions or suggestions can contact the Guizhou Provincial Development and Reform Commission by fax (0851-85297003) or e-mail (gzsfgwcjb@126.com) from July 4 to 13.
According to the guidelines, Guizhou will protect the water environment by restricting the operation of factories, tourism, and businesses in scenic spots, conservation areas of drinking water, as well as natural reserves.
Companies that produce high pollution should upgrade their production procedures to protect the environment and will not be allowed to add more production capacity unless necessary.
The government departments at all levels are in charge of the supervision and management of the rules. They are required to adjust the rules according to related laws and regulations.
