Equipment manufacturing

Sichuan has been one of three major manufacturing hubs in China. It is now home to 1,500 manufacturing companies, and industrial clusters of power-generating equipment and oil rigging equipment makers. The province is also planning to step efforts to develop aviation, rail transport, energy conservation and smart manufacturing.

The precision machinery and intelligent equipment manufacturing industry is one of the pillar industries of Chengdu. It has grown into a large sector with characteristic advantages, and it includes well-known enterprises such as the Siemens Chengdu factory, Sichuan BMT Welding Equipment and Engineering, and Ningjiang Machine Tool. By 2025, Chengdu will build an intelligent manufacturing equipment production base and intelligent application demonstration base in Midwest China.
