Chikan ancient town has many well-preserved buildings which combine both Chinese and Western styles. Most of these buildings were established by overseas Chinese.

At least 6 billion yuan ($871.75 million) has been invested to develop local tourism while ensuring that local historical relics are kept intact, in a bid to build the town into a new landmark for expats to learn about the history and culture of overseas Chinese.

Huilong town in Gaoyao district, Zhaoqing, is the birthplace of splendid Cantonese culture with abundant well-preserved cultural relics.

With a focus on Bagua village, Chenghu village, Songlong small town and Hengda cultural tourism city in Zhaoqing, the town is striving to develop a tourism industry with rural and leisure activities.

Guzhen town in Zhongshan is a major producer of global decorative lighting. Every year, two decorative lighting expos are held in the town in spring and autumn attracting visitors and exhibitors from more than 100 countries and regions.

Centered on the decorative lighting industry, the town manages to be a core industrial, trade, cultural and tourism area.
