Since appearing on the market in the early 20th century, Yunnan Baiyao, a traditional Chinese medicine, has enjoyed a high reputation at home and abroad for its remarkable effects in staunching bleeding, healing wounds, invigorating blood circulation, dissipating stasis, reducing internal heat, diminishing swelling, and dispelling pus and toxin. In 1971, Yunnan Baiyao Group Co Ltd was set up, becoming a large and comprehensive enterprise integrating the pharmaceutical industry and trade. It is in charge of the production and operation of medicine (mainly Chinese patent medicine), as well as the wholesale and retail of outsourcing medicine.
