The city of Ordos introduced 80 new electric buses on June 19, according to a local media report.

As the city pushes its high-quality economic growth process, the new electricity-driven buses are expected to replace all the diesel ones currently running in the city, a move marking the end of the city using diesel as the driving force of buses.

According to the local transportation authority, the 80 new buses were deployed in the city’s Dongsheng and Kangbashi districts, as well as Ejin Horoo Banner.
