Zhoushan in Zhejiang province maintained double-digit growth in tourist volume and revenue during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday.
Statistics show that the city received more than 440,000 tourists from June 7 to 9, generating revenue of over 560 million yuan ($80.96 million), a year-on-year increase of 11.64 percent and 12.08 percent from a year earlier, respectively.

Traditional scenic spots such as Mount Putuo and Zhujiajian Island remained the most popular tourist destinations.
More than 30,000 tourists visited Mount Putuo on June 7, and over 2,700 cars parked on Zhujiajian Island.
A host of activities were held at the city's many sites to celebrate the festival, such as a dragon boat race on Changzhi Island and a food festival in Dinghai district.
