Guangzhou to host 12th China Bio-industry Convention

The China Bio-industry Convention, known as the barometer for the biomedicine industry, is slated to kick off its 12th edition in Guangzhou from June 10 to 12.

During the convention, Guangzhou will also host the Third Guanzhou International Bio-Forum, which is known as the "Davos Forum" of the bio-medicine field.

First launched on July 3, 2017, the Guanzhou International Bio-Forum is a platform where high-profile speakers, led by Nobel Prize winners, prominent international scientists, and industry leaders, share recent discoveries and insights. The forum settled permanently in Guangzhou International Bio Island and is held annually. 

The Third Guanzhou International Bio-Forum will invite many big names and those having confirmed attendance include Shi Yigong, president of Westlake University, Pei Gang, academician of the China Academy of Sciences and former president of Tongji University, and Xu Tao, vice president of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. 

The forum will also see the plaque-unveiling ceremony of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area High Performance Medical Equipment Innovation Center and the contract signing of an advanced research institute launched jointly by Chinese University of Hong Kong and Guangzhou Regenerative Medicine and Health Guangdong Laboratory.
