Film workshop launched at Shengsi Middle School

A film workshop was launched at Shengsi Middle School in Shengsi county, Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province on May 28, to encourage students to record their hometown and life with cameras.

The project was undertaken by China TV Artists Association, Zhejiang Provincial Literary Federation and Zhejiang Provincial TV Artists Association, and sponsored by China Literature and Art Foundation.

It aims at cultivating teenagers' artistic accomplishment and shaping their artistic dreams.

A total of 35 such workshops have been established in 12 domestic provinces and municipalities, including the new one in Shengsi Middle School, which is also the second one in Zhejiang province.

"I hope that students will use their cameras and record some beautiful stories of their youth," said Gao Jian, secretary general of China TV Artists Association.

The association also gave six 4K high-definition cameras and some supporting facilities to the workshop as gifts.

Zhejiang Provincial TV Artists Association and Zhoushan Film and TV Artists Association co-established a Zhejiang Filmmaking Teaching Base at the school.
