Shenzhen University of Technology is an undergraduate-level public higher education institution in Shenzhen, Guangdong province. It is positioned as an applied university.

Shenzhen Technology University aims to build a world-class innovative and international high-level application technology university, and to train high-end application technology talents with international vision such as high-level engineers and designers.

The university is mainly based on engineering, and is gradually developing science, management, and art studies. At present, it has established 10 colleges, including the Sino-German Institute of Intelligent Manufacturing, and schools in big data and the internet, new materials and new energy, urban transport and logistics, health and environmental engineering, creative design, engineering physics, quality and standards, international exchange, and business. 

Several majors have been established at the university, such as mechanical design and manufacturing and automation, internet of things engineering, transport, automotive service engineering and industrial design.
