Zhoushan releases new edition of atlas

A new edition of the Atlas of Zhoushan Archipelago New Area was released on May 29 in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province.

The new version is an update of the first edition published in 2014 and based on several changes in the city's administrative division, government department names and addresses due to reforms in recent years.

The atlas not only portrays the natural and social panoramas of the city through various maps, but also contains detailed maps of each island, administrative region and economic development zone. It also provides information on local resources, economy and culture, making it a perfect window for people to learn about the city. 

According to chief editor Wang Jianfu, the atlas was compiled through a combination of digital mapping and traditional picture taking and text writing.
