The Zhoushan Cross-sea Bridge in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province recently installed 5G surveillance cameras to enhance its road monitoring, making it the first cross-sea bridge in China to apply the 5G network.
With the fast speed and low latency of the 5G network, road situations captured by the cameras will be transmitted to the monitoring center without delay, thus realizing real-time monitoring of the road traffic.

In addition, there are four 8-megapixel cameras in each surveillance camera to ensure high-definition pictures and monitoring in all directions.
The 5G network is currently provided by a 5G base station nearby. According to a person in charge of the bridge, in the future, such stations will be built on the bridge when the 5G network is put into commercial use, so as to guarantee a more stable data transmission.
