2019 Intercontinental World Rose Exhibition

The 2019 Intercontinental World Rose Exhibition was held at Nanyang World Rose Grand View Garden from April 28 to May 2, attracting distinguished guests from more than 50 countries and regions, including the United States, Britain, France, Australia, and India.

Nanyang World Rose Grand View Garden, constructed in 2018, occupies an area of 102.88 hectares and is divided into three parts. Viewed as the "hometown of Chinese roses," Nanyang has a 2,000 year-long history of rose cultivation and its continuous development in the field had helped it win the bid to host the international event. 

Zhang Zhongjing Medicine Culture Festival

Zhang Zhongjing Medicine Culture Festival has been held in Nanyang, Henan province, from Sept 20 to Oct 10 every year since 2002 in commemoration of Zhang Zhongjing, a famous medical scientist in the East Han Dynasty (AD 25–220).

As a large-scale event for cultural exchanges, industrial promotion and economic cooperation, it not only showcases the latest achievements in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), but contributes to the promotion of traditional Chinese culture and technological innovation in the TCM industry.

Nanyang Jade Carving Festival

The China Nanyang International Jade Carving Festival has been celebrated in Nanyang, Henan province in April or May every year since 1993.

Major activities involved in this festival include art performances, seminars on Chinese jade culture, jade carving exhibitions, auctions, elections for the National Gem and Jade Association, trade fairs and investment promotions.

It serves as an important platform to promote jade culture, attract investment as well as raise the profile of Nanyang.
