Considered as the future of the automobile industry, self-driving has caught the attention of startups, such as Flexbot, a smart technology company headquartered in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province and known as the Data Valley of China.

Since being established in 2013, Flexbot has assembled a self-driving team consisting of engineers from the United States, Italy, Egypt, and Italy, In which two-thirds are R&D personnel working on the R&D of self-driving software, smart manufacturing, and chassis design.

Flexbot focuses on providing integrated or customized self-driving products such as chassis or cases for self-driving vehicles made by 3D printers.

To date, Flexbot has received orders from the US and Europe for customized mobile spaces and self-driving vehicles.

Flexbot believes that to realize large-scale industrial application of smart driving technology, urban structures should be adjusted to bring mobile services, such as gyms, cinemas, and cafes, to people and not the other way around.

To realize this vision, Flexbot plans to find a city this year and cooperate with local government and land agents to build a district with urban functions. The district will be equipped with smart mobile spaces that bring services to residents to make life more efficient.
