Three exhibitions showcasing Buddhist items, tea leaves and traditional handicrafts are underway at the Xiamen International Convention and Exhibition Center, Xiamen, Fujian province and will run through May 13.

The Buddhist Items and Crafts Fair 2018 (Spring Edition) with nearly 5,500 booths in its 110,000 square meter exhibition area brings together more than 1,000 companies from Japan, South Korea, Canada, Malaysia and Vietnam.

The fair this year includes eight exhibition parts, namely, figures of Buddha, temple buildings, incense-related items, lamps, Buddhist musical instruments, handicrafts, international Buddhist craft items, and vegan food.

The fair is expected to attract roughly 200,000 purchasers from 17 countries and regions this year.

Nearly 1,000 tea businesses from more than 100 tea producing areas in 15 countries and regions are showcasing their latest spring tea and cherished aged tea.

One highlight of the fair this year is the establishment of two exhibition areas exclusively for overseas and Taiwan businesses where companies from Germany, South Korea, Japan, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and Nepal are exhibiting their quality tea and unique tea culture.

Another highlight is the First China (Xiamen) International Emerging Tea & Drinks Industry Expo, being held at the same time with the Tea Industry Fair.

The expo gathers companies from the whole tea and drinks industry chain and is expected to serve as a purchasing platform for the industry from all over the world.

The last exhibition is the Traditional Handicraft Fair.

With an area of 10,000 square meters, the fair has attracted more than 100 companies from home and abroad to present ceramics, lacquerware, metal handicrafts, carvings, embroidery works, writing materials, and creative cultural products.

Visitors can also experience hair felt making, paper cutting, paper quilling, and palm fibre weaving at the Traditional Handicraft Fair.
