The first batch of newly-recruited firefighters, since the reform of the Heilongjiang Provincial Fire Rescue Corps, recently started their induction training in firefighting theory and practice at a Harbin training base.

The 420 trainees included regular applicants, as well as retired firefighting soldiers, government full-time firefighters, retired soldiers of the People's Liberation Army and the Armed Police Forces.

Different courses were set up to meet the needs of trainees, based on their education and work experience.
